Organization:

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP)

Location:

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

In a landmark act of philanthropy, Comcast CEO Brian Roberts and his wife, Aileen, have pledged $125 million to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). This unprecedented donation—the largest in CHOP's history—will finance the development of the Roberts Children's Health building, a cutting-edge facility designed to enhance the hospital experience for young patients and their families.

The new tower, expected to rise over 20 stories, will feature more than 30 procedure and imaging rooms, integrating the latest medical innovations to provide comprehensive pediatric care. Beyond infrastructure, the donation will also support the revitalization of CHOP's existing hospital on Civic Center Boulevard, ensuring that the institution remains at the forefront of pediatric healthcare.

Madeline Bell, President and CEO of CHOP, expressed profound gratitude: "Roberts Children's Health will greatly enhance the hospital experience for our patients and their families, equip our staff with the latest innovations, and revolutionize how we provide care, all while continuing our long legacy of breakthroughs."

This transformative gift underscores the critical role of philanthropic support in advancing children's health and sets a new standard for charitable contributions to pediatric medicine.
